What started as a personal obsession with fishing the ocean in Alaska has grown into a charter operation known for putting clients on fish and delivering unforgettable days on the water.
Shane’s background gives him a unique edge on the water. He brings a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to every trip, paired with years of experience running boats in Alaska conditions. From halibut and lingcod to silver and king salmon, Shane understands how to adapt to changing weather, shifting fish behavior, and seasonal run timing to make the most of every opportunity. His hands-on experience and commitment to learning have helped shape Hofstad Fishing Co. into a dependable, client-focused operation.
